Founded in 2005, 3 Phase Computing is headed by a long-time technologist, Dr. Jerry B. Altzman.
Jerry is a technologist with well over 20 years of active development and operations experience. Most recently he was Director of Operations and Senior Engineer at Omnipod, an enterprise IM and file-sharing ASP. Before that, he was the lead quantitative strategist at Polaris Asset Management, a Manhattan-based fixed-income hedge fund.
He holds an B.A. in mathematics and physics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the City University of New York.
He is a member of the American Physical Society , the Association for Computing Machinery , Usenix , and the IEEE .
The 3 Phase Computing team is rounded out by Mark Shoulson, director of development.

Mark has been involved in many areas of technology for the past 20 years. He wrote software at Bellcore (now Telcordia), managed systems at the NEC Research Institute, worked on data security at Salomon Brothers, and has taught computer programming for many years.
He has worked on numerous constructed language projects, and contributed to the Unicode project to ensure proper support of Hebrew and some invented scripts. Mark is also the assistant director of the Klingon Language Institute
Mark holds an B.A. in mathematics and computer science from Columbia University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from Harvard University.
